As part of our diagnostic assessment, we offer a 45 minute follow up appointment to discuss the report and recommendations.  It is up to you if you would like to have this.  If you do, you are welcome to invite others to attend this with you (e.g. a family member).

Some people, and/or family members, find it helpful to have a few sessions after receiving a diagnosis of autism.  For example, this can be an opportunity to think about the diagnosis and what this means for the person, identify strategies for managing the impact of some autism traits (e.g. difficulties with social interaction), and generally develop more confidence and assertiveness.

We offer post-diagnostic support to adults who have been diagnosed at The National Psychology Clinic and elsewhere.  If you think this might be helpful for you, do let us know.
